Songs from the Secret Place Sam Cintron & Hope Center Tabernacle’s , “Songs from the Secret Place” is a Deeply passionateletter. This album of original love songs and lamentations written by singer/songwriter Sam Cintron, expresses a deep hunger for God’s presence and a longing for the return of the Lord. In pursuit of God’s voice, the ensuing intimate moments with God in the secret place produced a series of songs that reflect a yearlong journey. In approaching a God who is a consuming fire, the heat can be overwhelming. How can he refine us and love us at the same time? These songs were conceived in Sam’s heart and then birthed out of this painful process. There is a voice in the wilderness crying out, “Oh can’t you see that Jesus is coming” (Beloved), to moments of quiet desperation, “…Lord could you help me to be faithful, could you help me honor you” (My Simple Prayer). Before God let’s you speak it, He makes you live it. Sam has had to learn to live these songs. Serving as the worship leader for Hope Center Tabernacle, he strongly believes in drinking from his own well, which is his home church. Sam has a burden to challenge worship leaders and people with giftings and talents to roll-up their sleeves and go back to their church body to receive inspiration for ministry and to also build the vision of their home pastor. This ministry view is evident in this production because Sam’s own church Hope Center Tabernacle, is very present in the form of the choir, musicians, background singers and the fine art in the CD - even his senior pastors, Mario & Leigh Gonzalez, are ministering as musicians on the recording and as they tour, teaching as well as ministering in music. It is clear the Holy Spirit is raising a new tribe of worship ministers that will be like King David, shepherd-worshippers. Songs from the Secret Place is a clear and resounding call to the Body of Christ in these last days to listen to the voice of the Lord. These songs are life challenging and a blessing to the church. Heb 12:28-29 (NIV) Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire."
