He is the founder of Habitat For Humanity-an organization that cares for the poor by creating home ownership as a permanent solution to poverty. They build a house EVERY 26 minutes (20,000 houses a year) on average. They put faith into action by building homes for the homeless in over 100 countries. They've built over 200,000 houses and well over 1 million people live in housing built by HFH. It is inspiring to see people of different faiths working together to show love in a "concrete" way. In January of 2005, Millard and his wife Linda were fired from HFH for his alleged "inappropriate actions" towards a female member of the staff. These actions were not major in any way and Millard has categorically denied these allegations. By all measures, the HFH response was harsh, since they admit there was "inefficient" evidence to back the woman's claims. After being let go, Millard formed "The Fuller Center for Housing."
