Paley, was founder of the CBS Radio and Television networks. Her grandfather, a pioneer in brain surgery, was referred to as the father of modern neurosurgery. Her mother was considered one of most beautiful women of New York’s high society . In this world of glamour, fortune, and fame, Kate Paley was to find her own sense of style and originality. After dropping out of college during the Vietnam era, Kate became a pioneer in the innovative new field of video art. She began making short films based on the cover art of crime and detective novels of the thirties and forties. At the height of a career, Kate surprised everyone by abandoning the high life and traveling to the mission fields of South Africa. There, in the simplicity of the ‘desert,’ she discovered the greatest innovation of her life: an encounter with God, accepting Jesus as her savior, which changed her life forever. Kate’s passion is to share God's Word with others and to make the Word of God “come alive” for readers, to truly see it as “living and active.".
