Gary Scarano from ReachOUT.tv and I just
a preview of the movie "Flyboys"
and this movie is definitely worth seeing.
It is based upon a true story and stars James
Franco and Martin Henderson. It's about American
World War I fighter pilots BEFORE America entered the fighting. These men
volunteered to fly single engine fighter
planes for France. It was interesting to
see the close friendships formed between
the men and how close them came. It was equally
sad to see how frequently they would die.
The dogfight battles in the aie are realistic
and show how brutal these fights were back
them. Today, we are used to seeing fighting
take place on what appears to be a video
screen. This is much more brutal. The audience
gets to live with these men as they go through
the trials and tribulations, and life and
death situations involved with the war. I
was happy with the family aspects of the
film. There was a short scene that takes
place in a brother, but there are not "love
scenes" and what is show is it is not
all all gradutious. It is based upon a true
story. The realistic dog fights at the end
of the movie really drags the audience into
the story and we were all on the edge of
our seat. Go see "Flyboys."
