This program brings viewers up close and
personal with an international artist whose
works have been praised around the world.
Duda Penteado is one of Brazil’s most acclaimed
artist. He works in a variety of mediums
including, canvas, wood, printmaking and
video installations . Penteado has also been
featured on UPN 9, CN8, channel 47, NBC and
FOX. His new book of fine art, "Beauty for Ashes", has been featured on Manhattan Connection
internationally throughout Brazil, Portugal
and London on the GNT network. In June of
2005 Duda received the Community Service
Golden Age Award from the Latino Gerontological
Center for his community work in the New
York metro area as well as internationally.
The evening featured Penteado’s recent work,
"We Are You: A Portrait of America at the
Turn of the Millennium". In the 2005/2006 season Duda will
be exhibiting and presenting the "Beauty for Ashes Memorial Project" in Washington DC, Spain and Brazil.
