Charlotte's Web-
ReachOUT.tv

I'm Haley from ReachOUT.tv. This version
of CHARLOTTE'S WEB, E.B. White's tale about
an adorable pig named Wilbur, was a very
enjoyable movie.

I especially liked the fact that real animals
were used with human voices, as this really
brought the story to life. The movie focuses
on the relationship of various farm animals
brought together to live in the barn on Zuckerman
Farm. Wilbur, the newest member of the barn,
quickly learns that his fate appears to be
the main dish at the Zuckerman's Christmas
feast. Led by Charlotte the Spider and Templeton
the Rat, the animals join together to help
Wilbur, a spring pig, live to see winter.
The movie does a great job of showing life
through the eyes of various barn animals
as they interact with each other and discuss
their various roles and contributions to
society. Some of the funniest parts of the
movie are when the animals joke about each
other. This movie is definitely good for
families and especially children. Through
the three main characters the movie teaches
the importance of friendship. Wilbur the
Pig because he is young and new to the barn
is able to see the good in others, rather
than judging them for who they are. For instance,
he befriended the spider and rat, which are
animals that were not well liked in the barn.
Charlotte makes a promise to Wilbur to help
him and follows through on her promise by
leading the effort to save Wilbur's life.
Templeton appeared to be someone who was
selfish and cared only about himself, but
through Charlotte he learns how to put the
needs of others before himself. These positive
lessons about friendship, plus a warm and
funny story line make CHARLOTTE'S WEB well
worth seeing! |
